Space Optical) communications system is a kind of wireless
communications system to deliver the data, video, voice etc.
by invisible light in the atmosphere. It has high bandwidth,
low cost and strong ability to anti-interference, and it

FSO & RF backup |

FSO and RF have the different system characteristics, RF
system has big attenuation in heavy rain, but it can work
well in heavy fog. On the other hand, FSO system has smaller
attenuation in heavy rain but bigger attenuation in heavy
fog.Therefore, those two kinds of systems could be back-up
with each other to work well even in bad weather. |

In
order to satisfy the need of the market, BTC spent
10,000,000yuan RMB in November of 2004 to expand the
production of FSO system. Now the ability of production
raises to 800 sets a year by adding new productive
equipments, improving the craft and testing instruments.
In the mean time, BTC have strengthened the research
and development of FSO, and the product line of FSO
has been enriched. |
